FORMULA ACI - CSAI ABARTH ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP: ALL SET FOR SEASON 2013

The provisional calendar of the Italian Formula ACI - CSAI Abarth 2013 Championship has been published; it will feature six rounds in as many Italian circuits.

Green flags will wave to the fourth season of the Italian Formula ACI-CSAI Abarth Championship and National Trophy CSAI Formula Abarth next 28 April in Vallelunga. The circuit named after Piero Taruffi is the headquarter of the CSAI Speed Federal School and will be the perfect setting for housing the young drivers that will get on the Tatuus for the first time.

After the season opener of Vallelunga, the second round of the season will follow on 9 June at the circuit of Adria, that has been missing from the calendar of the series for two years. The Tatuus powered by FPT will move to the Mugello Circuit on 21 July. After the summer break, the first of September the championship will resume in Imola, while on 22 September the series will move to Misano Adriatico.

The grand finale of the season will take place, as usual at the Autodromo Nazionale of Monza, as the youngsters will enter the speed temple on the 20th of October.

The provisional calendar for season 2013 follows:

28 April 2013 - Vallelunga (RM)

09 June 2013 - Adria (RO)

21 July 2013 - Mugello (FI)

01 September 2013 - Imola (BO)

22 September 2013 - Misano (RN)

20 October 2013 - Monza (MB)

Season 2013 will live on six rounds, with the confirmation of 3 races per weekend. The first race of the weekend will be run on 22' plus one lap, the Sprint Race will be of 15' plus one lap, while the Feature Race will be of 30' plus a lap. The racing weekend will begin on Fridays with 2 free practice sessions and qualifying split in two sessions of 15' each.A very rich money prize is confirmed also for 2013 and will award 50.000 Euros to the winner and 30.000 to the winner of the Rookies classification. On top of this, the prize will also include the participation in the Supercorso Federale CSAI - FDA where the two winners will be joined by a third driver selected by the Federal School's men together with Ferrari Driver Academy.
