Silverstone close to selling out of race day tickets for the British GP

- Only Vale Grandstand tickets left for race day- Tickets still available for Practice on Friday and Qualifying on SaturdaySilverstone has announced that race day tickets for this year’s FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX (8-10 July) are very close to selling out. All but one of the circuit’s grandstands are sold out for the Sunday of the British Grand Prix, while the last ‘General Admission’ tickets for the UK’s premier motor sport event were sold yesterday (Monday 13 June). The only race day tickets still available for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix are in Vale Grandstand which, in addition to offering great views of the circuit, now overlooks the F1 Paddock, as well as the new Pit Lane entry into the Silverstone Wing complex. Silverstone expects the few remaining tickets in Vale to sell out over the next seven days.However, individual and family tickets are still available for the Friday and Saturday. There is still plenty to see and do at Silverstone on these two days, including two F1 Practice sessions on the Friday, as well as a third Practice session and Qualifying on the Saturday. With sizeable crowds expected on both days (crowds of 85,000 and 105,000 attended on Friday and Saturday respectively in 2010) fans will gain a similar taste to the electric race day atmosphere. In addition to F1 Practice and Qualifying, there will be a host of support race action on the Friday and Saturday, including the first GP2 and GP3 races and Qualifying for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Away from the track, there is a whole host of entertainment on offer, including concerts, air displays, helicopter pleasure flights and the chance to win competition prizes, including exclusive access to the Saturday afternoon autograph session with all of the F1 drivers, in Silverstone’s E-Zones.
