In the hands of Pierre-Alexandre Jean and Pierre Sancinéna and prepared by the CMR team, the Alpine A110 GT4 scored its first victory in France this weekend. A historic moment for more than one reason, as it was also the first win for a French constructor in the FFSA French GT Championship.
Immediately up to speed on its debut outing at Dijon, the Alpine A110 GT4 confirmed its incredible potential with a maiden success on the European scene a week later at Spa-Francorchamps.
This weekend, two Alpine A110 GT4s were in action at Magny-Cours for its second appearance at the national level. Driven by the duos of Soheil Ayari / Nicolas Tardif and Pierre-Alexandre Jean / and Alpine Elf Europa Cup leader Pierre Sancinéna, the latest arrival to the GT4 ranks impressed once again in Burgundy.
After reaching the top three positions in qualifying, the Alpine A110 GT4 was even more fearsome in race conditions. Capitalizing on its light weight and agility, Pierre-Alexandre Jean and Pierre Sancinéna used everything they had at their disposal to finish on the podium race one in the n°36 car.
On Sunday, the same tandem did even better. Well positioned on the grid, they picked up the pace in the final laps to take the win ahead of nearly 40 other cars and seven brands entered! The Alpine also became the first French constructor to win in the French FFSA GT Championship.
With this new success, the Alpine A110 GT4 is now ready to take on the legendary Nürburgring circuit (September 14-16) in the GT4 European Series.
