Tour de Corse Historique 2025 route takes shape

EIGHT DAYS OF CELEBRATIONS

The 25th edition of the Tour de Corse Historique strikes a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, blending legendary routes with exciting new additions. Among the key highlights: a start and finish in Calvi, the return to Ajaccio, and the addition of a new stage town, Bonifacio, promising breathtaking scenery.

Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 October
Technical & Administrative Scrutineering

For the first time, the Tour de Corse Historique will set up base in Calvi. Over four days, the town will come alive with an exhibitor village, free entertainment, and the spectacle of 380 crews passing through the scrutineering tent.

Monday 6 October

Driving Session & Opening Night

An untimed special stage of just a few kilometers will allow teams to fine-tune their preparations, with a limit of three authorized runs. In the evening, all participants will gather for a briefing, followed by a festive opening event.

Tuesday 7 October Stage 1
Calvi - Calvi

The first competitive day features a series of loops—plural, because Competition and Regularity entrants will follow different routes. Teams will pass alternately under the starting arch before heading off to their respective special stages.

Wednesday 8 October
Stage 2

Calvi - Ajaccio

The rally caravan will move south along the island’s west coast, with a midday pause in Évisa, one of Corsica’s most picturesque villages. The day’s finish line will be in Ajaccio, where the rally returns for the first time since 2020.

Thursday 9 October
Stage 3

Ajaccio - Bonifacio

Competitors will push towards the southern tip of the island, passing through Cozzano before arriving in Bonifacio—a historic first for the event! In 24 editions, the rally has never stopped here, promising spectacular scenery and an unforgettable moment.

Friday 10 October
Stage 4

Bonifacio - Lucciana

The tour continues along the east coast, with a regrouping park in Moriani-Plage before heading to Lucciana (Bastia-Poretta Airport), an area that previously served as a base camp for the Tour de Corse WRC in 2016.

Saturday 11 October
Stage 5

Lucciana - Calvi

The final stage takes competitors through the Balagne region before the grand return to Calvi. After five intense days of racing and 1,000 km of Corsican roads, the finishers and category winners will be honored and celebrated in a spectacular closing ceremony.

Renault 5 Turbo in the spotlight

Marie-Laure Leonetti, Graphic Designer: “We chose to depict the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo from the front—its most iconic angle, with its round yellow headlights. The car’s bold, imposing shape led us to keep the design simple. The orange hues behind the mountains evoke the magical moments of our rally.”

Renault will play a key role in this year’s event, celebrating 40 years since Jean Ragnotti and Pierre Thimonier’s historic victory in Corsica with the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo. The 1985 winning car was recently showcased at Rétromobile, and further details on Renault’s involvement in the rally will be announced soon.
