Showcasing Collecting Cars’ global footprint, the limited-edition example, which is based in Italy, could sell for as much as €2m / £1.65m
Famed for its world firsts, Collecting Cars was responsible for the first public auction sales of an Aston Martin Valour and Ferrari Purosangue, as well as the Porsche 992 Dakar and 992 S/T

The first public auction of a 2024 Ferrari SF90 XX Spider will be hosted online by Collecting Cars, starting Tuesday 1 April until Tuesday 8 April. With just 100 km on the odometer and retaining VAT-qualifying status, the one-of-599 edition is based in Italy and could sell for as much as €2m / £1.65m.

Originating from Ferrari’s legendary ‘XX’ platform – previously exclusive to track-only models like the FXX-K EVO and reserved for the world’s most prestigious collectors – the SF90 XX Spider marks a significant evolution. Retaining the folding hard top of the Ferrari SF90 Spider – from which it is based – the XX-derived model delivers an additional 30 bhp, removes 10 kg, and features advanced software systems along with aggressive aerodynamic enhancements, including a fixed rear wing.

Built to order and delivered earlier this year, this example has been specified with a raft of highly sought-after factory options. With carbon fibre air splitter, boot trim, wheel cups and even carbon fibre engine covers, the current owner also decided to add carbon fibre to the dashboard, rear shelf as well as the front luggage compartment.

Finished in special-order, two-tone bodywork with a two-layer colour treatment, the exterior ‘Blu Elder’ hue complements the ‘Apollo Nero’ interior colour and dark exterior touches such as black exhaust tips, brake callipers and black matte rear prancing horse logo. Other notable inclusions on the specification sheet include front and rear parking cameras, the premium Hi-Fi system, and desirable suspension lift system.

Commenting on the auction, Edward Lovett, Founder and CEO of Collecting Cars, said: “We’re extremely excited to host the first ever auction of a Ferrari SF90 XX Spider, and this is a particularly high-specification car in a striking special-order colour. It is a highly sought-after model for collectors around the world at the moment, and we anticipate strong interest from our global audience of bidders.”

“We ended 2024 on a high with the first public auction of an Aston Martin Valour achieving €1,650,500 and have seen a plethora of other limited-edition cars sell through the site – many being the first time they’ve been publicly anywhere in the world – proving that Collecting Cars is the go-to platform for enthusiasts and often the market-setter for prices in the public domain.”

This is not the first time that Collecting Cars, the global auction platform with over 300,000 registered users, has hosted the first public auction of a limited-edition vehicle like this. Late last year, Collecting Cars successfully sold a 40 km Aston Martin Valour for €1,650,500, and in recent times, the global auction company successfully sold the first Ferrari Purosangue via auction for £353,500 and two limited-edition Porsche 992s. The first, a 911 Dakar, sold for £245,000 and the second, a 911 S/T for £346,500.
