THE ANDROS TROPHY IN FORCE

As we watch most 2005 championships come to a close and witness new stars become champions and former champions successfully defend their laurels, Motors TV turns our attention to a spectacle on ice, the Andros Trophy.  France’s most prestigious ice-racing series attracts some of motorsport’s biggest names with 2003 BTCC champ and nine-time Andros champion Yvan Muller returning to defend his laurels against star challengers such as four-time F1 champion Alain Prost and 1996 Monaco GP victor and current Toyota F1 test driver Olivier Panis, promising some fantastic competition. Every Wednesday after a Trophy round there will be a 90-minute dedicated programme from 18:00hrs, as well as 26-minute show for the two-wheel version of the Trophy, the Pilot Bike series.  Round 1: Val Thorens, Wednesday 7th December, 18:00hrsIN THE SPOTLIGHT

The Jetsprints are back: Jetsprinting is one of the most spectacular nautical sports on the planet with twisty, narrow circuits and tiny boats with monster engines.  Well known for its extreme sports, it’s not surprising this was born in New Zealand and, like rallying, relies on a two-man team with one driving and the other navigating.  Reaching speeds of up to 120mph and relying on hard braking, the G-force experienced in one of these boats alone is amazing and to watch the masters pilot them, whether in the Group A or Superboat category, is awesome!  Round 1, Gisborne:  Wednesday 7th December, Group A: 20:00hrs and Superboat: 20:30hrs.

British Supercross Masters: The stars of British Supercross will be jumping their way through two rounds in the UK at the end of the year, culminating in a finale at London Excel on 10th December. The all-new series debuts on Motors TV on Saturday 10th December, 14:00hrs.

SEASON REVIEWS

Le Mans Endurance Series (LMES):  In only its second year of existence, the Le Mans Endurance Series certainly lived up to its noble abbreviation as five of the most prestigious racing circuits in the world each played host to a round.  Audi, Aston Martin, Corvette and Porsche amongst others are all vying for LMES honours against Le Mans prototypes and the season review highlights some of the outstanding heated battles on the 1000km races seen throughout the year.  LMES Season Review: Saturday 10th December, 21:00hrs and 23:00hrs.
