In May of last year, Jean-Michel Dewez won the first ever driver-selection competition for the Motors TV Racing Team, and went on to win his class in the ‘high-speed television’ channel’s car at the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
In 2006, the competition is repeated as Motors TV searches for another hopeful driver for this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hours - to be held on 17th and 18th June. The search is also on for four mechanics who, along with the lucky driver, will join the First Racing team of Fabien Giroix for the 24 hour race, competing with their Renault Sport Clio Cup car.
In addition, a second competition for 2006 has sourced two talented drivers – one male and one female - who will be given the extraordinary chance to race a Sprintcar in the Super Final of the Andros Trophy on March 18th at the famous Stade de France in Paris.
Selections for all of the Motors TV competitions are open to members of the Motors TV Club - registration for which can be found at .motorstv.com.
Please note that for the driving opportunities, the applicants should have some previous motor racing experience in order to comply with the rules for the event.
The Nürburgring 24 Hours selection day for the short-listed drivers and mechanics will be on 17th May on the ‘club’ circuit at Magny-Cours, France – home of the French Grand Prix.
