Scottish driver Gordon Shedden has won the first of Sunday's three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship rounds at the Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire - his first win in the BTCC.
Shedden, in his Team Halfords Honda, led all the way after early leader, SEAT's Jason Plato, was handed a stop-go penalty for a grid rules infringement.
Second was Mike Jordan in his Team Eurotech with John Guest Racing Honda - adding to his dream debut victory in the previous round at Mondello Park three weeks ago.
Third, achieving his first ever BTCC podium finish after 15 years of trying, was veteran James Kaye in his small Synchro team's Honda Civic.
He finished just ahead of Team Halfords' Matt Neal, the reigning champion, who has increased his current championship lead over Team RAC's Colin Turkington to six points ahead of this afternoon's second race at 14.20.
