MOTORS TV Racing Team Update

TO RACE SPA 6 HOURS INSTEAD OF NURBURGRING

In a change to the original plan, Motors TV’s prize-winning drivers and mechanics who won a televised shoot-out earlier in the year at Magny-Cours to receive the exceptional opportunity of contesting the Nürburgring 24 Hours, will now race in the Spa 6 Hour event instead.

The proposed racing team for the German event, First Racing, failed to meet its commitments to provide a car and despite obvious frustrations, Motors TV has acted quickly to keep its commitments to the winners and offer them substitute events…

Firstly, Patrick Segura has already competed in two Touring Cup races at the Val de Vienne circuit near Poitiers, France, on the 24th and 25th June; while all three finalists (Patrick Segura, Joël Stere and Jacques Voilhes) will be entered as an official Motors TV crew for the relay race of the Spa 6 Hours on 21st, 22nd and 23rd July. This race is a part of the Peugeot Sport meetings and they will drive a Peugeot 206 S16.

The four mechanics who reached the final selections (Gabriel Mestre, Benoit Courdent, Sébastien Soyer, Guillaume Barrachim) will also be part of the event and will have a busy weekend refueling, determining race strategy, operating the pit board, etc…
