Zytek prepare for Nurburgring LMS

Zytek Motorsport have finalised preparations for the third round of the Le Mans Series at Nurburgring this weekend (15th-16th July). The Zytek 06S sports car will be driven by two drivers with a wealth of experience between them, both former Formula One drivers.

Swedish driver Stefan Johansson has participated in over 100 Formula One Grand Prix during his career, driving for some of the world’s most prestigious teams and manufacturers. Following a successful F1 career Stefan has competed in the 24 hours of Le Mans, American Le Mans Series and the Le Mans Endurance Series in Europe.

Johansson’s teammate for Nurburgring is Japanese former F1 driver Hideki Noda. With a wealth of experience under his belt, Noda has also competed in Formula 3000, Formula Nippon, A1 Grand Prix, and most recently this season in the Japan Le Mans Challenge with the Zytek 04S.

Zytek Motorsport team boss Trevor Foster is looking forward to this 1000km endurance race, “The team are eager to get the car back on the track following the Le Mans 24 hour race, the car is in great shape, and the endurance racing experience in the driver partnership of Johansson and Noda puts us in a strong position for the race at Nurburgring.”

Joining Zytek Motorsport as partners and sponsors at Nurburgring LMS are Cisco Asset Management, and Eiko Seminar.

In LMP2 Binnie Motorsport will be competing with its Zytek-engined #24 Lola B05/40, following their second place on the podium at Le Mans last month.

Qualifying at Nurburgring takes place on Sat 15th July, with the 1000km race on Sunday 16th July.
