Turbo Dynamics, the turbocharging specialist, is the latest firm to back the Volkswagen Racing Cup, Britain's best supported saloon car championship.
The Dorset-based company - a leading supplier of turbo technology to Racing Cup competitors - is to sponsor special end-of-season awards for successful drivers of turbocharged cars.
"Turbo Dynamics has kindly agreed to sponsor the TDI Cup, which is awarded annually to the driver of the highest-placed turbodiesel," said Volkswagen Racing UK director Sam Roach, "and also to sponsor a new award, the Turbo Cup, for petrol-powered turbo machinery.
"We are delighted to welcome Turbo Dynamics as a championship partner, not least because their technology is employed in so many cars on the grid."
Turbo Dynamics managing director Peter Marsh, son of multiple British Hillclimb Championship victor Tony, added: "The Volkswagen Racing Cup is a superb championship and is of particular importance to us because of the large number of turbocharged cars - both petrol and diesel - which compete. We are pleased to be involved, and to be providing prizes of direct benefit to the competitors."
The Volkswagen Racing Cup in association with Hankook enjoys the additional support of Augustus Martin, Castrol, ECM Vehicle Delivery, Europcar, Experian, Milltek Sport, Mondial Assistance, Proximity London, KW Automotive, Superchips, TNT Logistics, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Volkswagen Financial Services UK.
