World Series - Tiago Monteiro returns to the tracks next Sunday

Portuguese Driver Tiago Monteiro will make his debut in the World Series next weekend, 26/28 of March, at Jarama Circuit with the Carlin Motorsports Team.

After two extremely positive testing sessions, where he posted fourth and fifth best times overall, Tiago became a potential candidate for the top spots.

“I am truly happy with the results that we managed to obtain during the adjustment training sessions to a single-seater I had never driven, for that, I am thankful to the excellent work developed by Carlin Motorsports during this adaptation faze”, commented the driver. “Nevertheless I am aware that the World Series is one of the most competitive Formulas at the moment, and the fantastic drivers present will certainly fight until the last lap of each race”.

Quicker than the Formula 3000, the Dallara from the World Series by Nissan has attracted a list of enrolled drivers for 2004 that will certainly provide excellent fights for the title.

With a comeback to Europe to race for the Carlin Motorsports Team at the WSN and to be Official F1 Test Driver for Minardi, Tiago Monteiro adds “I am very happy with the opportunities I have been given this year and, furthermore, I am eager for the World Series start, since I have not been racing for a period of five months, since the Champ Car season ended”.
