Golfers can play Brickyard Crossing

Golfers can enjoy one of the most unique rounds of their life during May at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course, playing 18 holes while hearing and seeing IRL IndyCar(R) Series cars drive around the adjacent Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval at 220 mph.

Brickyard Crossing is an 18-hole, championship-caliber public golf course located on the grounds of the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The course is unique among golf venues worldwide in that four of the holes are located within the infield of the historic IMS oval. Fourteen holes are located outside the 2.5-mile oval’s backstretch.

“Playing a round at Brickyard Crossing while cars are on the track during the month of May is an experience that golfers will remember forever,” said Rollie Schroeder, Brickyard Crossing director of golf. “Tee times are available for the public throughout the month, and we welcome everyone to play the course.”

Reservations for tee times are available up to 14 days in advance by calling the Brickyard Crossing Pro Shop at (317) 492-6572. Golfers are urged to call as early as possible due to various events taking place this month on the course. Greens fees remain unchanged during May.

Brickyard Crossing is closed May 15, 16 and 23 due to Indianapolis 500 qualifying and also is closed on Miller Lite Carb Day, May 27, and Race Day, May 30.

The Pete Dye-designed championship course has played host to Senior PGA Tour events and will be the site of the Indiana State Amateur tournament June 28-July 1. The course has received numerous awards as one of the top public courses in the Midwest and nation.

Information on golf instruction at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Academy is also available by calling (317) 492-6415 or by logging onto the course’s redesigned Web site at brickyardcrossing.com.
