Lister qualifying at Hockenheim

The engine was changed and ready to go for the first qualifying session yesterday morning - Tom out first.  He completed 7 laps and set a time of 1.38.3 - the car's handling characteristics had changed totally from yesterday although the set up remained the same - it was not good to drive.   At the first corner on the last lap he had a spectacular spin - flat-spotting all four tyres - so he returned to the pits for some changes!  He was surprised that his time was not more than 1 second off pole - 'I made mistakes on that lap'.

Second qualifying - care was needed as the only tyres we could use are the ones that have to start the race.  Tom was out first setting a time of 1.38.3 again making him 3rd fastest in the session - Patrick then had his time in the car.

However, Tom will start from the back of the grid today to the engine change.

Warm up at 9am,  race starts at 11.20.
