A collection of incredibly low mileage 1990s Italian sportscars has been consigned into the two day sale at Race Retro on the 21st and 22nd February.
The three cars have formed part of a significant private collection for more than two decades. Each of the cars has been tucked away as part of a large private collection currently owned by one of Europe’s most fastidious collectors of classic cars.
This is very special collection of Italian exotica are in almost brand new condition. It’s rare to find one or even two of these cars with such low mileage but to find three is something special indeed.
1991 Ferrari Testarossa
The highlight of the collection is possibly one of the finest Ferrari Testarossas available on the market.
Delivered new in 1991 by Auto Becker GmbH & Co KG, Germany, to its first owner a Mr. Frank Laufenberg, this exceptional left-hand drive car was never even driven by Mr Laufenberg! However, he did have the foresight to order the exclusive Ferrari watch by Cartier, gold with steel, which comes in its original box and warranty card. The market value for these watches is more than 5,000 Euros and they are almost impossible to find. Accompanying the car is a five-piece Ferrari luggage set in black leather that fits neatly into the trunk of the car.
Rarely do cars of this provenance come to market, with this particular car ticking all the right boxes for any serious collector today. We believe this to be a truly 'best of breed' Testarossa and you'd be hard pushed to find another one on the market today.

1991 Ferrari Mondial T
This exquisite Mondial rolled off the Ferrari production line in 1992 and was sent straight to Ferrari Import Kroymans, Hilversum, Netherlands.
Offered in Rosso Corsa with a black leather interior, this Mondial comes complete with leather book pack, tool roll with a full complement of tools, a solid history file to boot and has covered just 1,180 miles from new.
A well-documented and extremely presentable Mondial like this one rarely comes to the fore. In the wake of recent increases in Ferrari prices, and with the Mondial recently tipped by Quentin Willson as 'one to watch', this is an opportunity to own a fast appreciating classic in factory fresh condition.

1991 Alfa Romeo SZ
One of the maddest cars of the 90s, only 998 SZs were produced in a two year period with only 100 officially imported into the UK.
We are pleased to offer this rare Alfa Romeo SZ presented in the only colour combination available, red with a tan leather interior. This example is one that can only be described as new. Offered with the original point of sale invoice, tools, leather book pack containing all the original books, and even the overmats which are still in their polythene bag, this car encompasses everything about a ‘time-capsule' car.
In all, a best of breed car that cannot be faulted and with the odometer now showing a mere 808 km (502 miles), this car would be the perfect addition for any astute enthusiast.
