Rally Team Wales leads Nations Cup
The Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship (BRC) reaches round five with the Gibbs Aquada Manx International Rally based on the Isle of Man. At the halfway point in the series the Welsh Team head the Bruce Troph Nations Cup with a forty seven point lead from Scotland.The Welsh team heading to the Island for the event which takes place on 29th-31st July, will headed by rapid West Wales driver Dorian Rees in his Subaru Impreza WRX, Rees currently leading the Production Class in the series.Tarmac expert Damian Cole will be using his Toyota Celica to represent his country. Cole a multiple Welsh Tarmac Championship winner included in the team for the first time and with a wealth of tarmac experience should provide a solid performance.Sebastian Ling has shown tremendous pace this season since stepping into his four wheel drive Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII and has provided some strong finishes in the BRC, only failing to finish on home soil during the Rally of Wales.The final member of the team is Simon Hughes, piloting his Renault Clio. Hughes having mixed fortunes so far this season, but always capable of delivering the goods at the required time.
