Pellegrino on WS podium in Valencia

This season Matteo Pellegrino picked up the habit of  being on the podium and the last round of the World Series Light Championship in Valencia was no exception. The driver from Ravenna, Italy was third on the podium for race 2. Unfortunately due to an early retirement during race 1, this  wasn’t enough for him to get  third  in the classification. Unlike most weekends, Race 1 in Valencia was on Saturday afternoon and race 2 was on Sunday morning. Regrettably, Matteo’s adventure didn’t start on the right note: an accident with Abadie at the first corner, forced him to retire. Consequently, Matteo had to seek redemption the day after in Race 2. The start wasn’t a very good one and Matteo dropped down from 3rd to 5th place during the first lap. But with tenacity and determination, Matteo was able to climb his way up back to the 3rd place. This win however did not, as he was hoping for, classify Matteo third  in the classification. The championship ends and Matteo is 4th overall with Pavlovic, Miguez & Abadie ahead of him. Matteo’s victories and numerous podiums did not go unnoticed. -  RC Motorsport gave Matteo a chance to do a test session yesterdayin Valencia. where he will be getting his first taste of the WS car.

Matteo Pellegrino

"The podium in Valencia that can be added on to the others of this season proves what good shape I’m in. Unfortunately the accident I was involved in race 1 took away my chances of winning the third place in the championship.  But regardless of this, I must admit that this season was a positive one. In fact, RC Motorsport has decided to give me the opportunity to test with them on Monday on this track. It will be my first experience with a 3000 cylinder car that has 500 hp. This championship has just ended but I’m already looking forward to the next season.
