Silverstone has confirmed that tickets for the 2005 Foster’s British Grand Prix will go on sale on Thursday 16th December.
The announcement follows the signing of a new five year agreement for the British Grand Prix to be held at Silverstone, and confirmation from the FIA that the race has been included on next year’s Formula One World Championship calendar. Following the meeting of the FIA World Council it was also confirmed that the date of the 2005 British Grand Prix will be 8th – 10th July*. After months of speculation it’s “Go! Go! Go!” for the Home of British Motor Racing.
Silverstone, committed to enhancing value for its spectators, has confirmed that it will once again make available a fantastic ‘3 days for the price of 1’ early booking offer. This offer will enable fans to attend all three days of next year’s British Grand Prix from as little as £95 for adults and £35 for children if they book on or before 31st January 2005. The Early Booking Offer - a major pricing feature for 2005 – gives fans buying a Sunday race day ticket on or before 31st January 2005 a free upgrade to a Weekend Ticket, which includes practice on Friday and qualifying on Saturday.
Silverstone’s offer of three days for the price of a race day ticket represents an incredible saving of £100 for a family of two adults and two children purchasing Bronze level tickets before the booking deadline; and also offers great value for those looking to make group bookings for friends, family or corporate guests.
Following 2004’s 100,000 race day sell-out, tickets for next year’s event have, once again, been grouped into different categories, enabling spectators to ‘cherry-pick’ their ticket price and seating position for the UK’s premier motorsport event. Categories of Gold, Silver and Bronze ensure a range of prices and increased options for F1 fans, with all seats priced flexibly according to their location around the world famous Formula One venue. Four price tiers, Gold 1, 2, 3 and 4, are available for grandstand seats, with Silverstone freezing prices on all Gold classified race-day tickets for 2005. As in 2004, Gold 1 Weekend Tickets start at £149 per adult (£85 per child), while Gold 4 seats, in prime locations around the circuit, are priced at £229 per adult and £109 per child.
‘Silver’ Weekend Tickets, in the popular enclosures at Bridge and Farm, are priced at £139 (£65 per child). There was further good news for fans as Silverstone also confirmed it will be increasing the number of prime viewing locations available to race day ticket holders in 2005. The organisers have limited the number of hospitality places on offer which has increased space for general spectator viewing areas. Fans ordering their tickets after 31st January will be able to purchase race day and Weekend Tickets at a higher price. Weekend Tickets purchased after 31st January range from £135 per adult for Bronze (£45 per child) up to £269 per adult (£119 per child) for those buying Gold 4 – the best grandstand seats on race day.
While spectators will still be able to purchase Grand Prix tickets over the telephone, fans are encouraged to take advantage of Silverstone’s online booking facility silverstone- circuit.co.uk.
The service enables Formula One fans to book tickets for Britain’s premier motorsport event 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Tickets for the 2005 Foster’s British Grand Prix can be booked at silverstone-circuit.co.uk or by calling 08704 588 300
