BUXTON have announced Tom Woolley will return for a fifth season at the Hi-Edge Raceway in 2018.
Woolley skippered the Hitmen this year on his return from a season away at Belle Vue and now becomes the club’s third confirmed signing for the new campaign.
Manager Josh Moss said: “Tom came back to the club last season and significantly improved his average after a year at Belle Vue.
“He has always been consistent and reliable both home and away, and hopefully he can continue this in 2018.
“Tom and I have known each other for a number of years and I really think this can only help in our relationship working together next season.”

STOKE have continued their team re-vamp by signing Rob Shuttleworth for a second spell with the club.
Shuttleworth made his National League debut with the Potters in 2014 before spells with Coventry and Belle Vue, with whom he won the third-tier title this year.
Potters promoter Dave Tattum said: “I’m really pleased that we have finally managed to get Rob back here to Stoke.
“He has improved steadily over the past couple of seasons and gained a league championship medal with the Belle Vue Colts last season, and I really believe that 2018 will be a huge season for Rob.
“He has plenty to offer the club, rides Loomer Road well and is a crowd favourite already with Stoke supporters, with many still following his progress with other clubs.”

WORKINGTON have announced rising talent Kyle Bickley will make his SGB Championship debut with his local club next season.
The former multiple British Youth Champion, who will sign his Comets contract when he turns 16 next February, was a member of Belle Vue’s National League-winning team this year.
Workington owner Laura Morgan said: “Joining the Comets in the Championship is the next step in his speedway education but we have made it very clear to him and his father that there will be absolutely no pressure put on him whatsoever.
“He will be given all the help and encouragement possible by the Comets management and his more experienced team-mates so that he can develop and learn at his own pace as the season progresses.
“He has got excellent equipment and great backing from his family and many businesses, both local and national, along with an excellent attitude and great dedication towards the sport. We very much look forward to having him in our side and playing our part in his ongoing development.”
