H&H are indebted to the Vendor for the below description:

Based on a 1937 Talbot BD75 Sports Saloon this Special has been constructed over 3 years to an extremely high standard.

The original car was totally beyond economic repair and the decision was taken to build a two-seater sports car in period style using all the components of the Donor.

The chassis was stripped and completely rebuilt, all dampers, springs, bearings and suspension components were either overhauled or replaced and the full lightweight aluminium framed and skinned body was exactingly fabricated by well-known vintage special bodybuilding expert Ian Pitney.

The bulkhead and scuttle has been lowered and the radiator and cowling reconfigured giving the car its unique look, the radiator being to high flow specification but using correct top and bottom tanks.

All components including the transmission have been rebuilt and the engine overhauled by Ian Polson with the cylinder head receiving the attention of the previous engineer owner. An uprated carburettor is fitted for reliability and power.

The instrument panel and instruments have been restored. A new period look rev counter is fitted and of course, the car has been completely rewired with the starter motor and dynamo being fully overhauled.

It's rare to find a two-seater Talbot and this no expense spared, fully road legal example, retaining its original chassis and engine, this is a build with fully trimmed bespoke seats present this car as immaculate inside and out and would be much at home in the paddock at Silverstone.

The original buff logbook is available together with a current V5.
