The final selection process for the Motors TV UK Racing Team was held at the Issoire circuit last weekend.  Called the “High Speed Network” the chosen few will take part in the up-coming 24 Hours of Nurburgring, in effect, as their own team.  They will be there along with an enthusiastic group of viewers.  The team will be integrated into the German Lingmann Motorsport operation.

More than 3000 people called Motors TV UK to try and be part of the team, producing 450 hopeful candidatures.  40 were chosen at Issoire last weekend, including 20 drivers from France, England, Germany and Switzerland, who took to the racetrack at the wheel of a Renault Clio V6 and a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup, prepared by the Fabien Giroix-led GS Club operation.

At the end of the day, the winner, Jean-Michel Dewez was joined by his team:  two mechanics, a tyre changer, a pit board signaller, a physiotherapist and two chefs (the jury had a very hard time deciding this category!).  Thanks to Motors TV UK, on May 7th and 8th, they will be able to make their dreams come true and experience the thrills of motor racing by competing in the event itself.
