Classic Car Auctions are offering one of the final 176 MG MGCs University Motors purchased cars.
The MGC was the most powerful MG sports car built when it was shown to the public at the 1967 Earls Court Motor Show. The MGC was clearly identified by the bonnet bulge and the teardrop on the left-hand side of the bonnet to ensure the engine would fit in.
In 1969 the MGC production came to an end and University Motors, London’s largest MG agent purchased 176 of the unsold cars and began to market them as University Motors MG Specials with no two cars being the same.
This 1969 MG MGC is one of those 176 cars. Having just three owners from new and with the last owner for 31 years, he undertook a bare metal, nut and bolt restoration in the early 90s and a photographic record of the work is included.
The car has only covered just over 51,000 miles and is in excellent condition fitted with overdrive, wire wheels, manual gearbox a fresh MOT and Heritage Certificate.
At £18,000 to £20,000 this is a superb opportunity to get into classic motoring with a much-loved marque and from low ownership and with a very suitable registration plate included.
Also offered in the Summer Sale is a 2012 Morgan Plus 4 Two-Seater from the famous Malvern Hills factory. A beautifully handcrafted car, Morgan has a tremendous and faithful following, with many waiting for years to get to own one of these classics.
This very well spec’d 2012 demonstrator for Morgan dealer Allon White has covered just 10,000 miles between them and the vendor who is the second owner.
Fitted with the 143bhp Ford 2 Litre Duratec engine and Mazda 4-speed gearbox, which was new for that year, this is a very well-presented car with a Certificate of Conformity and Newness and guided at £25,000 to £30,000.

The Classic Car Auction team have been out on the road, they attended the Stratford Festival of Motoring over the three-day Bank Holiday, meeting current and new clients, promoting their forthcoming sales, as well as immersing themselves in classic motor shows.

The entry fee for consigning is £150, with early entries being offered a half-price rate for the first 50 cars submitted. If you wish to promote your car further, for £300 including the entry fee you could have professional photography.
The Classic Car Auction Summer sale takes place on the 18th June with viewing days on the Thursday and Friday. The Warwickshire Event Centre has plenty of free parking and easily accessed from the M40, M42.
