Caterham® has announced its top-tier racing series, the Caterham Seven Championship UK (CSCUK), will join The British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Silverstone in 2023.

Taking place on September 23rd and 24th, it’s the first time in Caterham’s history that it will join the iconic racing series on the Silverstone National Circuit.

In the Championship finale of the CSCUK calendar, the highly skilled grid of Caterham racing drivers will have the opportunity to compete in front of crowds of approximately 30,000 people.

The race day will also be broadcast to around 500,000 fans on ITV, providing a moment in the spotlight for the CSCUK grid.

CSCUK is made up of 21 championship races and seven triple-header race weekends across some of the UK and Europe’s most prestigious circuits, including Donington Park, Zandvoort and Portimão.

Simon Lambert, Caterham’s Chief Motorsport & Technical Officer, said: “To be able to associate ourselves with one of the most prestigious racing series on the planet is a historic landmark moment for our brand.

“Our racers will not only get the opportunity to race at Silverstone, they’ll also be competing on mainstream television with around 30,000 people in the crowd.

About Caterham Seven Championship UK
Recognised as the only national-level Caterham Championship in the UK, it’s where the very best of Seven racing takes place, featuring the most highly skilled competitors.

To keep the playing field level, every car on the grid is identical, and the CSCUK Racecar is specifically designed for the competition.

The purpose-built CSCUK Racecar boasts a 180bhp Caterham Motorsport 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, paired to a six-speed sequential gearbox, which is nestled within a dedicated race only chassis.

Unlike any other national racing series, this is the ultimate out-of-the-box competition, meaning the season is included with the cost of the car.

A seat in the CSCUK can be purchased as a full season package including not only the car, but also the registration and entry fees for the 2023 season.
