The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network and its affiliates will provide extensive coverage from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway throughout the month of May leading up to and including the 89th Indianapolis 500-Mile Race on Sunday, May 29.
More than 400 affiliate IMS Radio Network radio stations located throughout the United States and Canada – plus the LeSea Broadcasting network, which provides worldwide shortwave radio coverage, and the American Forces Radio Network, which broadcasts to United States military installations and ships around the world – will broadcast live Race Day coverage of the Indianapolis 500 at noon (EDT) May 29 with a pre-race show, followed by the Indianapolis 500 broadcast at 1 p.m.
The network will kick off the month of May at Indianapolis with the first of four “Indy Live” talk shows on May 10 from 9-10 p.m. (EDT). All four shows will broadcast live from the Brickyard Crossing Inn, and the public is welcome to attend each broadcast free of charge. Each show, hosted by IMS Radio Network Anchor Mike King, features interviews with notable drivers and other personalities from the Indy Racing League® IndyCar® Series and Menards Infiniti Pro Series™.
The “Indy Live” Talk Show broadcast schedule is 9-10 p.m. (EDT) on May 10, 12, 19 and 26.
The radio network will deliver morning and afternoon qualifying shows on the four qualifying days, May 14-15 and 21-22.
A Miller Lite Carb Day Recap will be broadcast from 6-7 p.m. on May 27.
