Since Friday technical and administrative checks have been going well on the Rondelli Stadium site in Menton, a city in the south of France located on the Italian border.
After accreditation for members of the organizing team and the installation of the various equipment on the vehicles which will supervise the race, a total of more than 200 vehicles and nearly 600 people will be checked and equipped for the two weeks of adventure on the African continent.
In front of many visitors, since the AFRICA ECO RACE is the only Cross-Country Rally to still start in Europe, the vehicles pass from the service park installed on the Rondelli Stadium to the technical tent planted in the Baden Baden car park. Once inspected and adorned with the colors of the AFRICA ECO RACE partners and the race numbers, the motorcycles, cars and trucks join the closed park installed on the Quai Antoine 1er in Monaco.
The Principality of Monaco hosted the departure ceremony on Saturday, an opportunity to applaud and encourage the heroes of this 6,000 km adventure on the slopes of Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal where Lac Rose will celebrate the winners and finishers on Sunday January 14, 2024.
