One of three Porsche Works entries for the 1970 Le Mans 24H driven by Mike Hailwood and David Hobbs and immortalised in Steve McQueen's ultra-realistic 1971 film Le Mans, this 917K is an incomparable example of one of the most iconic race cars ever.

The Le Mans film ignored cost and danger to capture McQueen’s vision of what motor racing was all about – dramatizing the real-world triumph of the Porsche 917 in a case of art imitating life!

 
INCREDIBLE ORIGINAL MEMORIBILIA 

Painstaking care was taken by the prior owner to conglomerate priceless pieces of original film memorabilia, including the script, driver's suits, McQueen's jacket, studio correspondence, driver contracts and headshots, pit boards and shoot schedules - all of which will remain with the car in her new home!

 It has been our utmost privilege to represent this truly iconic car, from showing her on our 2023 Retromobile stand, to having here here with us in the Mews. She has captured the imagination of both our team and all who have seen her!
