Gooding & Company, the official auction partner of the esteemed Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace, today unveiled its entire catalogue for the upcoming London Auction, set to take place on Friday, 30 August. In addition to the previously announced quartet of 1930s Bugattis from the world-renowned Jack Braam Ruben Collection, the international auction house will present a number of English and European offerings at the royal venue in the sale conducted by celebrated British auctioneer Charlie Ross. The live auction will be broadcast on goodingco.com; those unable to attend in person are able to participate via online, mobile app, telephone, or absentee bidding.

Among the rarest and most coveted of all David Brown-era Aston Martins is the leading English lot of the sale, a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Convertible (Estimate: £650,000 – £850,000) elegantly presented in Silver Birch with original red leather and a red Everflex hood. Delivered new in the UK, this DB5 Convertible is one of only 84 right-hand-drive examples built, and comes accompanied with an exceedingly rare removable hardtop. A stunning 1952 Aston Martin DB2 Saloon (Estimate: £150,000 – £225,000) will also be offered in its resplendent original color scheme of Moonbeam Grey over blue upholstery.

The auction will also feature a 1954 Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback (Estimate: £650,000 – £750,000) with a recent restoration by Graeme Hunt Ltd. in its original colors. One of just 190 R-Type Continentals fitted with signature H.J. Mulliner Fastback coachwork, this Fastback boasts a 4.9-litre factory-engine upgrade and discreet enhancements including air-conditioning and electric window lifts. A rare 1926 Sunbeam 3 Litre Super Sports (Estimate: £175,000 - £200,000) showcases English prewar motoring, and is fitted with a racing-derived dual overhead cam engine. A veteran of multiple VSCC rallies and races, this Sunbeam was also exhibited with honors at the Oulton Park Concours in 1992

A pair of Lancias offered from a private collection add early Italian flair to the sale. This includes a beautiful Art Deco 1936 Lancia Astura Series III Cabriolet ‘Tipo Bocca’ (Estimate: £800,000 – £1,000,000) that has rarely been seen in public throughout the last several decades. One of as few as two short-chassis Bocca Cabriolets, and just six built in total, this Pinin Farina-bodied Astura is among the most lavishly appointed and luxurious of all Lancias. A 1928 Lancia Lambda 8th Series Torpédo (Estimate: £550,000 – £650,000) prepared by the Lancia factory for the 1928 Mille Miglia is also offered. After winning the FIVA Award at the 2019 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and successfully participating in the 1000 Miglia Retrospective that same year, this Lambda underwent attentive mechanical restorative work by marque specialist Jonathan Wood.

Additional European classics offered at the London Auction include a 1955 Pegaso Z-102 Series II Berlinetta (Estimate: £600,000 – £800,000) featuring lightweight aluminum berlinetta coachwork by Touring of Milan. One of only 10 Series II Z-102s built, this Pegaso was recently exhibited at the 2023 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace. An impeccably restored 1928 Bugatti Type 40 Grand Sport (Estimate: £400,000 – £500,000) retained and driven by Ettore Bugatti’s granddaughter, Caroline Bugatti, from 2005 to 2022 is also presented, as is a rare right-hand-drive 1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer (Estimate: £300,000 – £350,000) in attractive original Blu Chiaro livery.
