This 1976 Porsche 934 is legendary in the annals of Porsche racing history having won first in class (Group 4) at the 1977 24 Hours of Le Mans with drivers Bob Wollek, "Steve" and Philippe Gurdjian. One of two private 934s that finished the arduous 24-hour race, this Kremer Brothers-prepared Porsche averaged a blistering speed of 105.27 MPH and covered 2,526.53 miles. Amazingly, it finished seventh overall, bested only by the blistering fast group 6 sports prototype race cars. Sponsored by Burton of London, the white and blue No. 58 livery is instantly recognizable.

The Porsche was the scourge of production racing in its era, having won the Trans-Am series in the United States with the Vasek Polak-prepared 934 piloted by George Follmer. The FIA rules on Group 4 race cars were quite restrictive and the cars were very close in specification to the street cars from which they were derived. Aside from the dual water-cooled intercoolers and adjustable coilover suspension, the 934 came equipped with the same 3.0L turbocharged flat-6 engine, 4-speed manual transmission, dry-sump lubrication and limited-slip differential as its street brethren. In fact, the 934 came equipped with power windows in order to keep its weight within the required minimum standard.

The 934 was externally identifiable by its wide bolt-on wheel arches, 16-inch BBS center-lock racing wheels, front air dam and whale tail rear wing. The car is fitted with the requisite safety equipment including a full roll cage, racing seat, Schroth multipoint harness and a fire suppression system. This car is Chassis No. 0060022 and is documented with its O.N.S Wagenpass and extensive historical photos. Sold on a Bill of Sale, this historically significant Porsche 934 Group 4 race car is eligible for HMSA, HSR and SVRA vintage racing events.
