Sacha Fenestraz to make F3 European Championship debut at the Nürburgring

Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Championship leader Sacha Fenestraz is set to make his FIA European F3 debut at the Nürburgring this week.

The exciting French-Argentinian driver will team up with current leaders Carlin for a one-off round as he explores his options for 2018.

The talented and ever-smiling 18-year-old is enjoying a brilliant season in the FR2.0 Eurocup, challenging for the title with Josef Kaufmann Racing. He currently sits on top of the Championship with four wins to his name – and just two rounds left.

But now he is set to take a break from his silverware-winning ambitions to join Carlin’s existing four-car line-up, alongside Lando Norris, Jehan Daruvala, Ferdinand Habsburg and Ameya Vaidyanathan, in Germany.

And the delighted ADD Motorsports-supported driver can’t wait to get to work. He said: “I’m really excited to be getting this chance to drive an F3 car. It’s going to be tough, but my goal is to learn as much as I can, take in as much information and drive fast!

“I like the Nürburgring a lot. I set the track record there earlier in the year and got my second win of the season there, so I’m looking forward to getting back on the track.

“It’s going to be a great learning curve spending time with Carlin. They are nice people and very professional. They also like to work extremely hard. They have really strong drivers there who are also there to work hard, so I’m happy to be joining them and seeing what I can do.”
