Classic Car Auctions first sale of the year included three collections, two from a deceased estate and one from a collector and all had a 100% sale rate.

Disposing of a collection can be quite a tricky task, but Classic Car Auctions are rapidly becoming the go to auction house for those wishing to sell large numbers of cars from  deceased estates, private collections or those wishing to simply downsize.

Gary Dunne CCA Sales Manager commented: “We are seeing an increase in the number of collections being offered and at our recent sale we managed three very different types of  collections from the initial opening of the doors to preparing the cars for viewing on the sale weekend.”

“Certainly from experience, whether it is a solicitor wishing to sell a deceased estate for a family, or simply a client with a large collection, they often ask how much of the sale process can CCA can look after.”

“We pride ourselves on having a full solution, working with our partners to extract the cars, load them onto trucks and store them ready for auction day.”

The Practical Classics Classic Car Show Sale had three very different types of collections. The Warwickshire Collection included 29 Lots made up of various restoration projects from the Land Rover, Range Rover and Jaguar marque. The County Down was from a deceased estate where ten cars were offered in a variety of conditions, most of which were in a barn find state. The third, The Hampshire Collection was made up of eight American cars, all in lovely condition, again from a deceased estate.

In 2021, Classic Car Auctions sold over 15 collections on behalf of various estates, solicitors and owners, with the size of the collections varying in numbers of cars. All the collections achieved a very high sales rate despite the challenging conditions with some achieving 100%.

Gary continued: “There is quite a market for cars coming from a collection, we find our buyers are very open to a project but also to a car that has been well cared for. If it comes from a collection, then the buyer will feel very comfortable in purchasing it.”
