(SPEEDWAY 1)BILLY Hamill has booked his young protégé Ricky Wells to appear in his farewell meeting at Wolverhampton on March 22.Wells, 17, has joined Coventry and Hamill is excited to have the youngster in his meeting.He said: “One of my passions these days is to work hard on the future of speedway here in the USA and I organise the Gumball Rally which is where I first spotted Ricky.”(SPEEDWAY 2)NEWPORT’S National League side will include a trio of former club favourites.Veteran Tony Atkin will lead the Hornets alongside Lee Dicken and Karl Mason with several youngsters making up the team.Newport promoter Nicky Mallett said: “We’re running training schools right through to a Premier League team so there are chances for progression here at Newport. It’s great to have these familiar faces back at the club.”
