25 Bentleys. 87 Drivers. 24 Hours.
Over the weekend the Vintage Bentley team took to Portimão Circuit for the 2nd Benjafield's 24 Hour Endurance Race. Marking the centenary of John Duff and Frank Clements Bentley win at Le Mans, 25 Bentleys travelled to Portugal to take on that very same challenge.
Night Racing
With practice sessions completed on Friday, the W.Os lined up on Saturday afternoon for the ultimate test of endurance. With the drop of the Tricolore, drivers ran, hoods went up, engines started, and the race began.
Over the next 24 hours, the circuit came to life with the roar of the Bentley's as teams competed day and night.
Pit Stop
From pit stops to radiator fixes, our team of technicians were on hand, working tirelessly to keep cars on track for the 24 hours. With their dedication, knowledge, and teamwork shining through, we could not be prouder of the part they played in such a fantastic event. Of the 11 cars supported by Vintage Bentley 10 finished which is testament to the efforts of our team before and during the event.
We would like to congratulate the Bentley Boys and Girls of new that took on this test of endurance to celebrate 100 years since Bentleys first Le Mans win.
Thanks go to the family, friends and teams that supported at the track, the Benjafield Club for organising such a brilliant event, and the team at Portimão Circuit for a memorable race.
With the race suits drying out, following the final drivers breifing, post race poolside, and the cars safely back at The Works we look forward to the next endurance race!
