The International Historic Motoring Awards (IHMA) presented by Lockton Insurance has revealed the people, businesses, cars, clubs, books, events, museums and media that are in with a chance of winning the most prestigious prizes in historic motoring.

Experts and enthusiasts from across the globe made hundreds of nominations for the awards and these have now been whittled down to shortlists across 14 categories encompassing everything from exceptional restorations and world-class events to outstanding individual achievements.

Those who made it to the shortlists now progress to the final stage of the judging process, in which a select committee of specialists and personalities from the motoring fraternity will select the winners.

The winners – along with the Car of the Year, which is a public vote, and the Lifetime Achievement Award winner – will be revealed at a prestigious ceremony and gala dinner at the opulent Peninsula London Hotel in Grosvenor, Park Lane, on November 22, 2024. The evening will be hosted by broadcaster and racing driver Amanda Stretton.

Now in its 14th year and back in the ownership of Geoff Love and David Lillywhite who launched the awards in 2011, the 2024 IHMA celebrates the elite of the classic and performance car industry with the support of Horton Books, Classic and Sports Finance, the Petersen Automotive Museum, Nyetimber, the Poonawalla Collection and Octane and Magneto magazines.

Hothouse Media co-founder and managing director Geoff Love, said: “We are delighted to once again be the custodian of the International Historic Motoring Awards, having acquired the Awards earlier this year, alongside Octane magazine. We have been thrilled by the quality of entries, showcasing the very best that the global classic and collector car community has to offer. We are looking forward to announcing the winners at the Peninsula Hotel in November.”
