Bikes: Noble on the podium

AT BRITISH MASTERS

With MVR-D Suzuki riders competing at home in the UK and in Portugal this weekend, James Noble flew the team flag by taking a podium finish at the third round of the British Masters championship at Pontrilas in Herefordshire.

Noble qualified in third position and was able to remain consistent throughout both motos, finishing third in race one and fourth in the second outing. His results leave him in third place overall in the championship.

Meanwhile, Mattis Karro came back to earth with a bump following his recent wins at Brampton in Maxxis British Motocross Championship. The Latvian rider crashed during qualifying for round five of the MX2 world championship at Agueda in Portugal. Karro twisted his ankle in the crash, and was unable to take any further part in the event.

However, MVR-D Suzuki’s Natalie Kane was also competing at the loose and stony Agueda track in the Women’s MX World Championship. She rode her Suzuki RM-Z250 to two impressive sixth place finishes, leaving her eighth overall in the points standings.

Mark Chamberlain, MVR-D Suzuki team manager commented: “This wasn’t the best weekend for us but we had a good run. I’m pleased with the hard work put in by all the riders and we look forward to the next rounds at home and abroad.”

The next FIM World round is to be held this coming weekend at Bellpuig, Catalunya.
