CLASSIC CAR ‘MARQUES’ MILESTONES AT STONELEIGH PARK COUNTRY FESTIVAL

Classic car clubs from around the region will celebrate their club and marque milestones at this year’s Stoneleigh Park Country Festival, held at Stoneleigh Park over the August Bank Holiday weekend (29th to 31st August). With a procession in the main arena and a pageant of around 1,000 colourful classic cars, visitors are in for a motoring walk down memory lane.

The TR Register will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of the Triumph TR6. In January 1969, the TR6, 150 BHP petrol injection model was launched, designed by Michelotti and Karmann. They finally ceased production for North America in July 1976 having assembled 91,850 cars.

Celebrating 50 years of the iconic Mini, the Central Mini Club will have an impressive display to mark its golden anniversary including the various models designed over the years.

The Stag Owners Club will be celebrating its 30th anniversary having been founded in November 1979 by Tony Hart, proprietor of Hart Racing Services. The first national Concours D'Elegance was held in Coventry in September 1981 with 20 Stags entered in five classes. Membership rose to over 5,000 at its peak, and is still well over 4,500, making it one of the largest single model clubs in the UK.

The Range Rover Register will be back at Stoneleigh Park this year and is looking forward to providing rides around the off-road course in aid of The Air Ambulance Charity. Its members donate the use of their own vehicles, time and fuel, with all money raised going directly to charity.  The rides are designed to demonstrate the capabilities of 4x4 vehicles and the skill of their drivers as they negotiate the course – and visitors are asked for a charitable donation in exchange for their ride. The Range Rover Register has raised over £30,000 for the Air Ambulance Charity in recent years.

And for those who want to keep out of the mud but still want the thrill of the ride, the Land Rover Experience Terrapod will be at the show. This unique steel, all terrain demonstration stage will be putting vehicles to the test like you’ve never seen before. Test your own skill and nerve to overcome a number of obstacles.

Divided into interactive areas, the Stoneleigh Park Country Festival is jam packed with fun features for all the family to enjoy such as a Food Fair, the Imagineering zone, equestrian demonstrations, a petting farm from Hatton Farm, Dog Agility demonstrations, a country life area and retail village as well as stunning entertainment in the main showground arena with celebrity guest appearances, the World’s most famous Monster Truck ‘Bigfoot’, the Flying Gunners Motorcycle Display Team, processions of Classic Vehicles and machinery, a fly by from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and so much more.

And if that’s not enough, you can make a weekend of it by pitching up your caravan or tent for the weekend and enjoying our evening entertainment and fun fair.
