Was down at Neil Bainbridge's (BS Motorsport) at the weekend - having a little go in our RS - when this little honey came out of the workshop - the holy grail of air cooled Porsche?!
If I only had the money...car is for sale - be quick!
Stuff on the car below:
Here we have a very special Porsche 911 RSR 2.8 - this is chassis number #911 360 1155 which was built in May 1973 in Gulf Blue.
1 of 49 made - the car was sold new to Reinhold Joest for Wilhelm Bartels, Germany. Immediately Bartels campaigned the car extensively with notable success achieving a significant number of wins - in fact the car was raced successfully for 4 years.
In 1974 the car was updated to 1974 RSR specification and in 1976 was converted into a 3 Litre RS by the Porsche factory in 1976.
This Porsche was restored by Manfred Freisinger in 2004 to its original 2.8 RSR spec - and today is ready for it's next custodian.
An amazing original car with documented period race history - a very rare opportunity!
