SWINDON have been handed a major boost ahead of the new season after the club received official confirmation that Troy Batchelor has been given the all clear to race in the UK in 2015.There have been a number of visa issues affecting several riders over the winter break but the club captain will now be able to race from the opening meeting for the Robins. Manager Alun Rossiter said: “It's great news that Troy has been cleared to ride for us again this year. I never thought there would be a problem but you can never say never, so it was a big relief when we had it confirmed earlier and now it's all systems go.“I'd like to think Troy has got a long term future at Swindon - he's a world class rider, he's more than happy and settled here and he's going to play a big part for the club this season.”

EASTBOURNE will stage a new-look Press and Practice day to launch the 2015 campaign – featuring a networking event for major companies.The Eagles are preparing for their first season at National League level and their new main sponsors will also be unveiled at the March 20 event.Commercial director Connor Dugard said: “Our new main sponsors are an important Sussex business and they are able to introduce Eastbourne Speedway to many other prominent companies in the area.“It is a major step forward for us and we are thrilled with the input we are receiving. By holding a business networking event as part of the day we will be able to talk owners, directors and managers about speedway and in particular what we offer at Arlington. It is a real first for us and we are absolutely thrilled at the prospect.”
