Classic Car Auctions have some lovely continental classics on offer at their forthcoming auction, including a BMW E30 M3. Last year saw some serious prices being paid for these cars in excellent condition and this will be one to watch.

Other lovely offerings are a 1985 Audi Quattro UR, with Audi celebrating 40 years of the Quattro this year could this be the time to add one of their outstanding cars to your driveway. An alternative German engineered car could be the impressive Porsche 911 (993) 3.6 Carrera Coupe or if you are after more of a classic then the 1975 Alfa GT 1600 Junior which is one of the rarer versions of the Tipo 105 Series Coupes.

“These are fabulous cars and we are very excited to see what they will achieve when they cross the block at the end of March. Last year the BMW E30s did exceptionally well and this one will be no different, it is superb,” commented Gary Dunne, Classic Car Auctions Manager.

The E30 M3 is legendary and has a very dedicated following, with excellent examples achieving very high prices and quite rightly so. This 1987 version will attract significant interest as it not only has just 58,967km (35,640 miles) on the clock, but it has been described as jaw-dropping and absolutely remarkable. Imported from Japan in 2015 and with four owners, it has a comprehensive service history and a recent major UK service. The car has also done 400km in the last four years. Estimated at £40,000 to £45,000 this will definitely be one to watch.

Battling it out at the same time, was Audi, with their Quattros and this 1985 UR Turbo 10V is superb. Presented in Alpine White with a Graphite leather interior, it has many original features and is in excellent condition, with a supportive history file to cover the 77,000 miles. Estimated at £28,000 to £32,000 and from a private collection with an interesting registration number, this is a lovely first generation UR.

Our next offering is another German rival, the 1995 Porsche 911 (993) 3.6 Carrera Coupe. This car was a much-improved version over its predecessor, the 964. Porsche said it was “a significant advance” and in terms of looks it had the bulging rear wheel arches giving at real sense of purpose.

This particular car is fabulous. Recently recommissioned and finished in fresh coat of Polarsilber paint this year, it comes with lots of main-dealer and specialist service history. With an indicated 56,000 miles, Cup alloys and Tiptronic ‘S’ gearbox, this is an impressive car estimated at £35,000 to £40,000.

Moving on to Italy, the final car is a wonderful and rare Italian classic from Alfa Romeo. Produced in 1975 in right-hand drive for the South African market, this GT1600 Junior was returned to the UK where it underwent a five-year photo-documented rotisserie restoration.

Work included upgrading the engine to the 120bhp 1750, gearbox rebuild, a new clutch and a fresh coat of Alfa Rosso paint and to compliment the black interior. A really lovely looking Alfa and one of the rarest estimated at £24,000 to £28,000 with an Alfa Romeo Certificato di Origine and Certificate Museo Storica.

Gary commented further: “These are just some of the high quality cars we will be offering. We have a great selection of Porsches and also BMWs including an E30 325i and other models, a number of Audis as well as an Alfa Giulia Sprint GTC Cabriolet.”

Viewing takes place on the 27th March between 10am and 5.30pm with the auction getting underway on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th from 12pm.
