Aguttes Passion For Citroën Auction

Aguttes Passion For Citroën Auction

An exceptional auction dedicated to Citroën as part of the Spring Sale

The Aguttes auction house presents Passion Citroën, a private collection considered to be one of the most beautiful and important collections dedicated to the chevron brand in Europe. It will be dispersed during La Vente de Printemps , organized in Paris on March 16, 2025. Bringing together nearly 40 examples, this collection tells the story of the passion of a Swiss aesthete, who took care to bring together the rarest and most iconic models. The latter decided to sell his entire collection by entrusting it to Aguttes on Wheels .

With its expertise after having led the brand's centenary sale in 2019 and those of the Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS reserves since 2020, Aguttes on Wheels will devote part of its Spring Sale to this event, highlighting the exceptional heritage of the famous French brand. Enthusiasts and collectors will have the unique opportunity to acquire vehicles selected as much for their stories as for their technical and aesthetic innovations.

Passion Citroën: A History in 40 Icons

Made up of, among others, seven Citroën DSs from 1957 to 1974, each marking a major evolution for the model, the very first Citroën SM delivered new in Switzerland (chassis 39), or an incredible duo formed by the one and only Citroën BX 4TC and Visa 1000 piste 4x4 delivered new in Switzerland, the collection grew until 2019, the year of the brand's centenary.

Still very young and with a diploma in his pocket, it was in 1982 that its owner took over the family business with already solid experience acquired from Citroën dealers to the head office of the Swiss importer in Bern. After thirty years of representing the brand with the chevrons also dedicated to the search for rare old Citroëns in the four corners of Europe and their restorations, the passion is still intact. The selection is thematic, the popular ones like the 2CV , Ami 6 , Dyane and small GS , come alongside the oldest productions of the brand, a rare Kégresse of the army or a magnificent C6 flatbed truck . The DS respond to the two Traction 7C and 15 Six D but also to a very nice selection of even more confidential cars with a prototype M35 , a GS Birotor produced in 840 copies. The sportiest are not left out with a rare MEP X27 , BX 4TC , Visa 1000 Pistes 4x4 or sought-after youngtimers like a CX 2400 GTI in tangerine color, CX 2400 Prestige , BX GTI 16S , XM , Xantia Activa and C6 3.0 to end the list.

Citroën and the Icons of Enamel: An Unprecedented Collector’s Sale

A few days later, on March 20 in its Neuilly-sur-Seine auction room, Aguttes on Wheels will present one of the most important collections of enamel plates dedicated to the Citroën brand but also to various manufacturers and equipment suppliers, pedal cars and vintage toys.
