Picturesque Worcestershire location has been hosting its hill climb since 1905

Non-competitive event provides great opportunity to enjoy your car on the famous course
The spectacular Hagerty Hill Climb promises some of the best motorsport action and a wonderful family day out when it returns to Shelsley Walsh on Sunday 17th May 2025. One of the oldest motorsport events in the world, Shelsley Walsh has been hosting its hill climb since 1905 and is the only one to still use its original course.
At 914m long, it is one of the steepest hill climbs, rising over 100m as the route twists through the picturesque woodland to the top. Over the years it has played host to not only some of the greatest automobiles and race cars, but famous drivers too, including Jean Bugatti, Hans Stuck and Sir Stirling Moss.
Once again, the 2025 Hagerty Hill Climb will allow drivers the chance to enjoy the thrill of motorsport in a relaxed and controlled non-competitive environment. Expect plenty of camaraderie between owners and spectators in an event which celebrates everything that is special about great cars and the memories they create.
Entry is just £150 and guarantees owners at least three runs on the famous hill, where you can drive as fast or as sedately as you wish. All vehicles are welcome and all levels of experience, whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned hill climber.
Great news for Hagerty Drivers Club members is they qualify for a 25% discount on the entry fee and will enjoy exclusive access to the HDC members enclosure, the perfect place to take a quiet moment away from the action and enjoy a range of refreshments. If you aren’t yet a member, then you can join up here and get immediate access to the vast number of benefits the club offers.
Set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, Shelsley Walsh is a wonderful venue for the whole family. Tickets for spectators are just £30 per car, making it a great value day out. A short walk up the hill provides not only excellent vantage points of the action on the course, but superb vistas across the picturesque landscape. There will also be lots to see in the paddock, including displays by owners and classic car clubs and of course, plenty of options for food and drink will be available throughout the day.
Note, there is an Early bird booking discount applicable between 14-28 February which sees spectator tickets priced at £25 and hill climb tickets at just £135.
“The Hagerty Hill Climb at Shelsley Walsh is one of our favourite events of the year,” says Mark Roper, Managing Director of Hagerty International. “It presents a wonderful opportunity for owners to enjoy their cars in a safe environment and to interact with the enthusiasts young and old throughout the day. Like the Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional, the Hagerty Hill Climb is all about the memories and the experiences that we associate with classic cars and what better place to enjoy them than at this historic venue.”
