The final round of the Drift UK championship took place at the weekend at the Teeside Autodrome this weekend and Racecar's Mr Doricar made his long awaited debut in his recently built Vauxhall powered Corolla.
The car has taken a while to build - and lunched a few engines in it's development - but after sterling work by BTB Exhausts - who built the exhaust system and the integral rollcage, plus a slick paint job from M.W Bodyshop in Olney, the car was ready to roll.
James did well to reach the semi final - only for the dreaded luck to evaporate - as a suspected half shaft failure left him without drive. However a 3rd place was a good start and the shakedown highlighted a few areas on the suspension which could do with some tweaking - so overall a good weekend.
Mondello in Ireland is the car's next planned outing - where hopefully James can finish an event without mechanical mayhem.
