FV10 look at home in the F1 Paddock

FV10 may well have been the new boys in the F1 Paddock at this year’s Festival of Speed but they certainly didn’t look out of place.  The presentation, expertise and sheer professionalism of this new group was on a par with its neighbours – no less than 6 of the current F1 Teams

FV10 in association with Cosworth in their 50th anniversary year is a unique, revolutionary and affordable way of owning and driving a 21st Century F1 car for private individuals.

Over the three days of the Festival FV10 had the opportunity to show the level of presentation and service Tim Preston, FV10 Team Principle, could achieve with his highly experienced team of Ex F1 engineers and technicians by running a clients 2003 Jordan EJ13 which was the last Grand Prix winner for engine partner Cosworth and FV10’s ‘works’ 2004 R5 Jaguar formerly driven by Mark Webber

To maintain the F1 pedigree the Jaguar driving was shared between Ex F3 champion and official FV10 test and driver coach, Marc Hynes and multiple Grand Prix winner Johnny Herbert, who was flown in specifically for the Saturday sessions.

Johnny commented after his drive in the R5:- “What an awesome experience to get behind the wheel again of an superbly prepared and run F1 Jaguar and to work with such a professional team, especially Tim Preston who I have worked with before when we were both in F1”.

The EJ13 was driven throughout the weekend by its new owner Andrew Tate, who professed himself “delighted” with his weekends work.  Andrew’s experience is what FV10 is all about.  Thousands of people lined the course imagining the sensation of driving a modern F1 car up that course in front of a wildly enthusiastic crowd and, through the foresight and imagination of the tight knit group of professionals who run FV10, such an experience is available.

FV10 co founder Jonathan Kaiser said: - “The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the perfect showcase for the FV10 programme and we are honoured and delighted to have been positioned in the Formula One Paddock area.  We had the smallest number of team members in any of the garages and were the only team to run two cars, but thanks to the experience and dedication of all involved the weekend went without a hitch”.

John Barlow head of FV10 sales was equally as enthusiastic and indicated that after meeting with many serious clients over the three days a number of new customers would be announced in the near future.

FV10 have pulled together an impressive list of companies from the world of motorsport to help deliver this unique offering.  Supplementing the technical experience at Cosworth, the list of high profile partners supporting FV10 includes Air Partner, Oakley, Bell Helmets, AWS Racewear, Avon Tyres and BMTR.
