Klaas Zwart drives to two magnificent victories and sets official lap record at Jarama at the wheel of the FV10 Jaguar Cosworth at last round of EuroBOSS Series

FV10 in partnership with Cosworth entered the final round of the EuroBOSS Series at Jarama with Klaas Zwart driving their Jaguar F1 for the first time ever. Zwart recorded magnificent wins on Saturday and on Sunday having started both races from pole position. He set the fastest lap on Saturday at 1.237s. On Sunday, not only did he again set the fastest lap of the race, Zwart also set a new official lap record at Jarama circuit at 1.228s.

Commenting on his race wins and his first race weekend with FV10, Zwart said, “The car handled superbly and was totally reliable. We had a great weekend with a fabulous car, it was incredibly good. The weekend was faultless and thanks to the support of FV10’s team, everything went like clockwork and the results of the weekend reflected the excellent team work.”

The Cosworth-powered FV10 Jaguar was fully prepared by FV10’s team of highly experienced ex-F1 personnel headed up by Tim Preston, team principle. Preston’s career has included stints working closely with Damon Hill, Jenson Button and Juan Pablo Montoya. The weekend’s excellent results are again testament of the team’s hard work and attention to detail in preparing a 21st Century F1 car to run reliably for a private owner.

Zwart’s entry for the Jarama round of the EuroBOSS Series as part of the Martini Legends historic GP weekend follows a successful test at Ascari the weekend before. Here he immediately achieved an outstanding pace, underlining both the car’s amazing potential and his own tremendous skill as a driver.
