Racecar attended a great event at Brooklands last weekend as Mercedes-Benz celebrated their successful 2009 motorsport season at Mercedes-Benz World Brooklands on 8th November 2009.
It was a free event for all with cars from Formula 1, DTM and F3 as well as a huge range of AMG roadcars being pushed to the limit out on the circuit and skid pan. 2008 Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton was there to entertain the crowd as well as the 2009 World Champions Brawn GP with test driver Anthony Davidson demonstrating the superb BGP 001.
Other faces from the world of motorsport included Brawn GP boss Ross Brawn, TV pundit and former McLaren driver David Coulthard and double World Champion Mika Hakkinen as well as Mercedes drivers Heikki Kovalainen, Gary Paffett, Jamie Green, Paul Di Resta and Susie Stoddart.
It was a fabulous day out, even if the weather was a little cold and damp - but this just made it easier for the guys on track to get the tails out! It has been a very successful year in motorsport for Mercedes and this was a wonderful way to give something back to their fans, so well done to them.
We've put together a gallery of 120 pictures from the event and some great HD quality videos of the action up close - so be sure to check these out by clicking the link below.
