“Following off a perfect weekend in Hockenheim a few weeks ago, I certainly hope to carry that momentum through to Nurburgring next weekend!” Sheldon promised. “Having tested at the Nurburgring with the Audi Sport Racing Academy earlier this year also gives me great confidence leading up to the race.”

Double-reigning SA Engen Volkswagen Polo Cup champion Sheldon caused an international sensation when he drove to two dominant victories in his Audi Sport TT Cup debut three weeks ago, but he’s taking nothing for granted in the build-up to his Nurburgring weekend ahead. ”Of course there is still a long way to go this season, so we need to keep our heads down and remain focused on scoring the valuable championship points necessary to retain the championship lead.

“Nurburgring is definitely one of my favourite circuits on the calendar — always very challenging and demanding on the driver mentally and physically with slow and high speed corners throughout and racing there as support series to the Nurburgring 24 Hour race will also add to the atmosphere and set the scene for another great race weekend, so I’m really looking forward to it!”Follow Sheldon’s progress at the Nurburgring through live streaming and live timing at www.audi-motorsport.com.
