Building on its success the caravan of the 9th running of the AFRICA ECO RACE will once more start from the Principality of Monaco. Since the opening of registrations on April 15th, the organization team has receivednumerous requests for information from potential participants - which includes many bikers, a category that should be full this year.
The start of the AFRICA ECO RACE 2017 will take place in Monaco, temple of motorsport, just like last year. The "Rock" will hold administrative and technical scrutineering on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th of December 2016.
The participants and their companions will be able to enjoy the magical atmosphere of Monaco during the festivities of New Year with its majestic Christmas village and stunning illuminations without forgetting the friendliness of Kate and Didier, the owners of STARS'N'BARS which is the the Rally’s HQ during the start. It’s a restaurant with one of the largest sports collections of objects that belonged to a multitude of world famous stars.
All spectators can admire the cars, trucks and motorcycles entered in the race parked in parc ferme before the Official Start of the Rally which will be given in late morning from the Quai Antoine 1er, on the 31st of December 2016.
NEW YEAR’S EVE … BETWEEN TWO CONTINENTS
Then the whole caravan will leave from Monaco towards Sète, to board on the Grandi Navi Veloci ferry. The competitors, service participants, journalists, raiders and members of the organization will spend two nights aboard including 31st December to celebrate new year's eve, a nice way to start this new year in style between the two continents in the middle of the Mediterranean sea!
The boat’s arrival in Nador, Morocco, is scheduled in the early morning on Monday January 2nd 2017, where the real fun will begin as competitors will start racing on the 1st stage !
No doubt about it, the AFRICA ECO RACE will be one of the major events in the beginning of 2017!
