The AmDTuning.com team is targeting more points this weekend when the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship heads for Oulton Park for the fourth round of the season.Having been out of luck in its bid to score during the opening two meetings of the year, the West Thurrock-based outfit opened its account last time out at Thruxton – with a 14th place finish in race three giving driver Ollie Jackson his first points scoring finish of the year.Buoyed by that result, the team now heads for Cheshire looking to add to its tally at one of the most popular venues on the calendar, and one where it has enjoyed success in the past.Indeed, back in 2012 during his first season with the team, Ollie came away from the Oulton Park weekend with a hat-trick of points scoring finishes, with the 32-year-old hopeful of making the most of the undoubted potential of his Audi S3 to challenge for the top 15 again this time around.“We’ve made solid progress since the start of the season, and it was good that that was finally rewarded with a points finish at Thruxton,” he said. “Having broken our duck, the target now has to be to keep the points coming, and this weekend we should have a good chance at Oulton Park.“During my first spell with AmDTuning.com, the Oulton Park weekend was one of the best of the season with three points scoring finishes and it would be fantastic if we could achieve that again this time around.“I’ll certainly be pushing hard for some good results.”Team boss Shaun Hollamby agreed with Ollie’s views on the weekend ahead, expressing confidence that the Audi will be on the pace around the challenging Oulton Park layout.“We head to Oulton Park buoyed by the points scoring finish at Thruxton and hopefully we can build on that this weekend,” he said. “Ollie has a good record at the circuit and we’re confident it will suit the Audi, so the aim has to be to score again.“In the time since Thruxton we’ve worked to resolve a few minor issues we had with the car there, and hopefully that will be reflected in our on-track performance.“Our focus in the upcoming rounds is to continue making forward progress and we want to try and break into the top ten before the summer break.”Editors Notes:
