In the third round of the international championship promoted by SRO, Italian team will line up three Maserati GranTurismo MC for Anselmi / Sernagiotto and two Polish crews
Scuderia Villorba Corse and their Maserati GranTurismo MC get back on track for the third round of the 2016 Competition102 GT4 European Series to be held at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on June 11-12. English racing weekend is about to host a special round of the international championship promoted by SRO Motorsports Group consisting of a three-hour endurance race instead of two “sprint” races. After their winning debut in race-1 at Monza, Villorba Corse will line up 25 years old Luca Anselmi, who raced alone in Pau, together with team's regular driver Giorgio Sernagiotto in the Pro class again. Confirming its role of partner and reference team of the House of the Trident, Italian team will also enter two Am crews, both Polish: one formed by Piotr Chodzen and his son Antoni and the other with newcomers Lukasz Kreski and Lukasz Habaj. After Saturday's free practice and qualifying sessions, on Sunday, June 12 lights for the three-hour race will go out at 12:50hrs with live streaming on www.gt4series.com.
Team Principal Raimondo Amadio says: “After Pau, where we could not be so aggressive, we are approaching this weekend with some more optimism as track configuration suits much better the typical characteristics of our cars. Racing on the British temple of speed always has a special taste so we will feel even more motivated to do well and keep high the name of Villorba Corse and the Maserati brand”.
