THE 2016 British Final Fans Forum proved to be a resounding success at the National Speedway Stadium on Wednesday.
A large number of supporters attended the event, held in the Peter Craven Suite at the new home of Belle Vue, while the @speedwaygb Twitter feed enjoyed plenty of interaction from fans throughout the night also.The guest panel of Simon Stead, Richie Worrall, Chris Morton and David Gordon faced a whole host of questions from Sky Sports Presenter Nigel Pearson as well as plenty of incoming tweets sent in by supporters.
From the British Youth set-up to the British Grand Prix, from the initial dream of the National Speedway Stadium to the venue hosting it's first major event, the 2016 British Final, this Monday - the panel were left with plenty to discuss.
Host Nigel Pearson said: "It was great to have so much interest in the room and the online streaming was very successful I'm told.
"It was the first time the British Speedway Promoters' Association has tried this method and early indications are that it proved to be hugely popular and successful.
"You have to take your hat off to the BSPA for trying such an initiative and this is yet another way they are trying to move the sport forward and interact more with supporters.
"The four guests provided the audience with some great thoughts and a great insight to behind the scenes and overall it was a really positive night."
