MotorSport Vision Racing Club Championship Heads to Rockingham‏

MOTOR racing fans do not have to wait long for their next fix of motorsport action at Rockingham as this weekend (June 18/19) sees MotorSport Vision Racing Club Championship back at the Northamptonshire circuit.

This will be the third consecutive season MSV Racing has held a round of its race series at Rockingham, which offers a mix of racing from hatchbacks and saloons to sports car and single-seaters. This event will be no different with 19 races from eight championships.

All the action takes place on the 1.94-mile International Super Sportscar Circuit with six races from the MINI Challenge – three each from the JCW series and Cooper S and Cooper classes – which this year marks its 15th anniversary and sixth season under the MSVR banner.

There will also be three races from the GT Cup. The last few seasons can be described as nothing less than a triumph with impressive grids and some of the UK’s biggest GT teams joining the championship in the shape of United Autosports, Barwell Motorsport and Triple 888/Optimum Motorsport.

Spectators can expect capacity grids from the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons series, which has established itself as one of the market leaders in its field. Delivering close competition within classes, it is joined on the racing bill by its sister series, the Production BMW Championship.

New for 2016, the Radical Challenge Championship will be in action on Saturday only with a 25-minute qualifying session followed by three races. Incorporating the SR1, Solo and Team Challenges, this series offers a more diverse racing experience than ever before, at an even more competitive price.

While on Sunday, there will be a race apiece from Monoposto’s low cost Autumn Championship – The Tiedeman Trophy – and the MSVT Trackday Trophy, which was launched in 2010 to help drivers get on the first rung of the racing ladder.

Advance adult tickets are priced at just £12 per day and admission for children aged 15* and under is FREE ensuring families can enjoy some of the best action from the British Club motor racing scene at an affordable price.

As always at Rockingham all tickets include access to a grandstand seat offering panoramic views of the entire circuit, the pit garage roof and race paddock, which means there are no hidden costs.

The circuit prides itself on providing access to all motorsport fans, and those who are registered disabled can apply for a complimentary** admission ticket for their carer.

Advance tickets can be booked online at www.rockingham.co.uk or via the hotline on 01536 500500, option 1, until midday this Friday (June 17). Adult tickets will be available on the gate priced £16 per day. Gates open at 08:00 on each day and track activity starts from 09:00.
